When your patients require emergency treatment, advanced diagnostics, surgery, or specialized care, Red Plains Veterinary Emergency & Referral is here to support your team.
We accept referred patients from primary care veterinarians 24 hours a day. We welcome any emergency or urgent care patient that you may not be able to treat right away or during hours that your office may be closed. Our hospital is also capable of providing advanced imaging services (Vimago CT, ultrasound, and endoscopy) as well as consults (and treatment if needed) with our specialists. If your patient checks into our facility, we will automatically send copies of any diagnostic results and treatment summary to your hospital so that you are kept in the loop.
To send records of a referred patient or to inquire about a specific service that we may be able to provide your patient, please fill out the form below. One of our staff members will respond to any inquiries about services. If you are just sending records, we may only respond if there are any issues with the files. You may also email the records to us at info@redplains.vet anytime.
For any emergency or urgent care patient referred to us, records are not required but they are helpful for our doctors to have a complete picture of medical history. If you send a patient for a procedure (imaging, surgical, etc.), we will need any recent bloodwork, radiographs and medication list.
For further assistance with your referral, please contact our Referral Coordinator, Joy Fox, at (405) 947-8387 or joyfox@redplains.vet.

My senior dog had a late night emergency on 2/25/26 and the staff was amazing. Sam, the tech that was working, was so sweet and helpful and the doctor that evening was amazing.
Our dog was extremely ill. We made the decision to have her euthanized. We had good experience with Red Plains previously so, we took her in to be euthanized.
My cat was non-responsive and they were so good to her. The kindness and compassion was very clear, so was the competency. I loved how well they took care of her.
From the time we got here at 7pm Saturday night during a snow storm the staff really treated us so well! Everyone was so compassionate and really cared about the health of our dog.
